I was working in an international corporate job, though I’m creative maker at heart. Sunday in my hotel room, was generally the time to nourish my inner maker.

When I was on a longer assignment, I’d buy a sewing machine, fabric, or jewelry findings and get busy making in my room. Then my husband and I were both transferred to the USA by our employers.

As we considered starting a family, I faced some challenges which led us to failed IVF attempts. This experience profoundly altered my focus in life. I started my own company and turned my passion for making into a business. I launching a contemporary Celtic knitwear collection. Later, I launched a Celtic clothing line. I had a lot to learn about retail sales, so I honed my skills by selling at Celtic festivals. It wasn’t easy; it took some years to perfect the booth setup and the products selection.
